What is the Holy Ghost?

The Holy Ghost is described on many occasions throughout the scriptures. It has been referred to as: Spirit of Christ (Romans 8:9-11); A baptism (1 Corinthians 12:13); A birth (John 3:1-8); A seal, or promise (Ephesians 4:30); The earnest of our inheritance (2 Corinthians 1:22); Rest and refreshing (Isaiah 28:12); Spirit of adoption where we cry ABBA, FATHER (Romans 8:15); Living water (1 Corinthians 10:1-4); Power from heaven (Acts 1:8); The Comforter (John 14).

6. Cornelius and those in his home received the Holy Ghost.

(Acts 10:44 KJV) "While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word."

(Acts 10:45 ) "And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost."

(Acts 10:46 ) "For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,"

(Acts 10:47) "Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?"

(Acts 10:48) "And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days."

7. ( Acts 10:35 KJV) "But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him."

8. (Revelation 5:9 KJV) "And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;"
