In June 2002, Pastor Paul Murray and First Lady Rachel Murray assumed the pastorate of Apostolic Lighthouse. Pastor Murray and First lady, have three children Tamryne, Mekaila and Caleb.
Pastor Murray was born in Berlin, Germany and lived in Turkey as a child prior to his military family settling back in the United States. He served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the country of Tunisia. He began his ministry in New Hampshire, were he served as a Youth Pastor and Assistant to the Pastor. He received his Bachelor of Science in Health Care Services from the University of Phoenix and received his Masters of Religion in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty Theological Seminary. As an ordained minister of the Gospel, Rev. Murray holds his ministerial credentials with the ALJC. While in New Hampshire, Pastor Murray also served as the Youth President for the Central New England District of the UPCI and as the Eastern Regional Representative for the National Youth Department. He became the Assistant Pastor of Apostolic Faith Church in 1996 in Pennsylvania. During his tenure in Pennsylvania, Pastor Murray was a part of the CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) program at Geisinger Medical Center. His service involved ministry in PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), ICU (Intensive Care Unit), and ER, and also served as a hospice chaplain. Shortly after his arrival to Maryland, Pastor Murray became a police chaplain for both the Anne Arundel county police and sheriff’s department and also continued his ministry as a hospice chaplain. In addition to his continued ministerial outreach, Pastor and First Lady continue to provide their evangelistic ministries throughout the United States, Europe and the Far East. First Lady, Sis. Rachel Murray was born in Marietta, GA, the daughter of Rev. Douglas Chesson, who was pastor of the Marietta UPC. They moved to New Hampshire where she assisted her parent’s ministries in Concord, New Hampshire and then Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Sis. Murray is currently completing her Bachelors of Arts degree with Liberty University. Her specialized ministries include inspirational preaching in ladies meetings and services; educational outreach and training; worship leading, singer-soloist; and pianist. The Pastor and First Lady offer enriching home Bible studies on many subjects both on an individual and/or in group setting.
