The birth of this assembly took place in 1974 at the Linthicum Women’s Club. In 1981, the church family moved to Glen Burnie to continue its outreach efforts and growth. On June 1, 2002, Reverend Paul A. Murray and First Lady Rachel M. Murray assumed the pastorate of this assembly. With a vision built on the foundation of the Word of God, Pastor Murray and the church family began by adopting Apostolic Lighthouse as the name and first phase of the mission for this family of believers. They immediately began to move forward in seeking the Lord for spiritual and numerical growth with this small congregation of 12 members. Over the next 4 years, the church made major renovations to both the interior and exterior of the church building. Completing all work in 2005. In the beginning of 2007 the church knew change was in the air and God would be opening new doors. In the latter part of ’07, the church sold its building in order to be located in a central and easy to find location with more classrooms and larger facility. God opened that door and we are now reaching the communities throughout Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City and beyond for the glory of God. With 2008 being a year of new beginnings, Apostolic Lighthouse transitioned to “Lighthouse Christian Fellowship – An Apostolic Church” to clearly reflect our mission and focus on bringing families and communities together, regardless of race, creed or nationality. Lighthouse Christian Fellowship is a church dedicated to serving people. As a result, new programs and ministries have been and will continue to be birthed in an effort to meet the many personal and spiritual needs of our communities. You are warmly invited to join with us as we pursue Christ’s mission “to be a growing family with a passion for God and compassion for the world.”
